After four and a half years, 7,944 submissions, 1,785 private sessions, 32 public hearings, and 700 community engagements, the Disability Royal Commission handed down its 222 recommendations to government. Key amongst them a call for a Minister for Disability, Disability Representative Organisation funding, and structures to address employment and income.
